Apple rumor: AT&T excited about new iPhone?

From the not-all-that-surprising-department, Apple’s exclusive U.S. partner for the iPhone, AT&T, is said to be tickled about an upcoming release of the iPhone that will be faster and add some AT&T-developed features, such as a U-Verse application. As most people expect, the new iPhone is expected to arrive some time around June, and is turning into “an annual tradition.” (Source: The Boy Genius Report).

Another interesting tidbit from the report involves Netbooks; AT&T apparently is preparing to launch a $99 Netbook that doesn’t use Windows around the same time. Radio Shack already sells a Acer Netbook with Windows and an embedded AT&T modem for $99 along with a two-year contract, but it sounds like AT&T is getting ready to offer its own model in its own stores.
